Lars B. Andersen embarked on his My Nametags adventure in March 2004, inspired by the need to label his own daughters' clothing and school items. Coming from an economics background having completed a trilingual MBA in Paris-Oxford-Berlin he left a job in finance specialising in technology mergers & acquisitions and insurance to pursue his goal of creating the best labels in the world and reduce lost property.

My Nametags started in Lars' family living room, while his children attended nursery. With the invaluable help of Dominika and Ildiko, our first employees who remain cherished members of our team, the business slowly grew. After 5 years, we opened the first official My Nametags office in Wandsworth. Since then, our commitment to delivering durable labels that outlast the items which it helps identify, has propelled us to become the UK market leader. This dedication to quality has enabled us to establish a global presence, reaching customers in over 140 countries and earning recognition through various prestigious awards over the past two decades.

Throughout this journey, we've helped people become aware of the importance of identifying items, whether in educational settings like schools, nurseries, and kindergartens, or in other environments such as care homes and offices. Lars takes immense pride in making a product that not only reduces lost property, but also minimises the environmental impact of unnecessary re-purchases, which can be both costly and ecologically detrimental.

Outside of work, Lars is involved in various charitable initiatives. He has been a Master of a Livery company in the City of London, chaired a charity supporting individuals with learning disabilities, and was a founder and on the supervisory board of a credit union, among others. Lars has also been a charity trustee and chaired the Entrepreneurs' Charity.

When he's not immersed in work or charity work, Lars enjoys travelling, spending quality time with his daughters, and engaging in social activities.
